• USSSA Global State Baseball Tournament

  USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association) youth baseball for ages 7-14. Opening Ceremonies scheduled for Friday, May 24, with games beginning on Saturday, May 25.

• Music and a Movie presents: "Brave"

  Friday May 24 2013

  The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with an archery demonstration by the World Champion Foley Intermediate Archery team. At 6:30 we'll be entertained with music by Danny D Band.. At dusk, the movie "Brave" will be featured on the giant inflatable screen. Admission is free and concessions will be sold on site. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic baskets and join us for an evening under the stars.

• The Sinking of the LuLu

  The LuLu, a 271-foot retired freighter that will help put Alabama on the worldwide map for diving enthusiasts will eventually rest on the bottom of the Gulf 17 miles directly south of Orange Beach. It will be towed two miles up the Intracoastal Waterway from Walter Marine to LuLu's at Homeport Marina for a christening party on May 24 beginning at 9 am.The ship will be christened at 1 pm. Later, the ship will debark on a 20-hour tow to the detonation site, where it will be positioned on May 25 for the following day's sinking.
